This delightful joglo-style villa is completely self-contained and boasts 2 bedrooms and private plunge-pool.

Villa looks out over a small mangrove-lined river inlet onto a black-sand beach – hence its name, which translates to ‘river sea’.

Its spacious, light-filled interior, which incorporates two bedrooms and a large living room, is full of antique furniture and artefacts collected by the owners from across the Indonesian archipelago.

Wrap-around verandas cooled by sea breezes provide welcome shade, and lead onto a coconut wood deck and plunge pool with jacuzzi.
